Practicing Kundalini Yoga

Kundalini yoga is a type of yoga that brings together physical, mental and spiritual discipline. It also helps in tapping into the inner energy and brings about awareness. Kundalini yoga can be practiced through physical and meditative techniques that can be found in all the branches of yoga.

Kundalini yoga helps in developing intuition, increase self knowledge and unleash unlimited creative potential that is there in each one of us.

What Does Kundalini Mean?

Kundalini means the untapped energy that is there at the base of the spine and can be drawn up through the body awakening all the seven chakras. Complete enlightenment happens when this energy reaches the crown chakra.

Practicing Kundalini Yoga

Kundalini yoga is striking a balance between breath and movement. Each yoga asana is done in conjunction with a specific breath that increases the effects of the pose with the purpose of freeing energy in the lower body and allowing it to move upwards.

Kundalini sequence may consist of rapid and repetitive movements done with the breath or holding the breath in a particular position.

Kundalini Yoga Class

While practicing kundalini yoga form the beginning is always with a short chant followed by a warm up stretch of the spine. This helps in improving flexibility. The main work of this form of yoga is called kriya which is a controlled sequence of poses and pranayama that focuses on a specific area of the body. The yoga form ends with a meditation.

    Hello Modernwomenworld,
    Neat Post, Someone i know has only ever had one job and it ceased trading for retail a few years ago. Just wondered what do you do if you cant obtain more than one job ref when you require 2. cheers. placed it in this category cos there wasnt really.one i could find to put it in for note.
