Kundalini yoga is striking a balance between breath and movement. Each yoga asana is done in conjunction with a specific breath that increases the effects of the pose with the purpose of freeing energy in the lower body and allowing it to move upwards.
Kundalini sequence may consist of rapid and repetitive movements done with the breath or holding the breath in a particular position.

While practicing kundalini yoga form the beginning is always with a short chant followed by a warm up stretch of the spine. This helps in improving flexibility. The main work of this form of yoga is called kriya which is a controlled sequence of poses and pranayama that focuses on a specific area of the body. The yoga form ends with a meditation.
